Here are a few things on my mind as I waste away at my desk on a rainy Friday...

- When is it going to be warm out? The calendar says April but it feels more like November. I hate it.

- I think the CEO might actually fall out of his chair when he sees that I have finally posted something again. I have been busy, that I have not had any actual thoughts recently

- The Red Sox have played four games so far and I don't think I have seen an actual full inning yet. When are they going to play at a normal time?

- I just finished the new Michael Holley book on Terry Francona, "Red Sox Rule". I was a good quick read. I read it in about four days. I was looking for the book to be more like Patriots Reign but, it was a good look at Francona and his style of managing.

- I can't believe I am actually excited about the upcoming NBA play-offs. This is the first time in a long time that I can't wait for them to begin.

- KG's intensity is amazing. He sets the tone for the rest of the team.

- I think that as long as Beckett's back is all right, then the Red Sox should be fine this year.

- Manny is going to have a big year this year, BIG.

- I don't think Ellsbury will hit .385 this year but he will have a solid rookie season.

- I think it is nice to finally have some new shows back on TV. There was so much crap on TV, we actually had to resort to watching movies some nights.

- I think if I was Tom Brady, I would go where ever Gisele goes too.

- I think the Pats trade out of the 7 slot in the upcoming draft. If they end to keeping they pick, I think they take the best player available, no matter what position.

- I have said it before and I will say it again, I don't think I would want to hang out with Bill Belichick but, I certainly want him as my football coach.

- I have another book recommendation for you: "The Miracle of St Anthony". It is a great story about Bob Hurley's high school basketball teams in New Jersey. Just a great read, no matter if you are a basketball fan or not. One of the best books I have read, if not the best.

- I was at the book store yesterday and I saw Jose Canseco. What a joke he is. I better be careful what Ibashbrothers88cos-1.jpg say though as I think the CEO still has that Bash Brothers poster in his bedroom.

- I don't think I like the new format on ESPNEWS. It is too confusing.

hellskitchen.jpg- I think Hell's Kitchen is the funniest show on TV right now. Gordon Ramsey is a riot.

- I wish the NFL would end this Spy Gate thing once and for all.

- I think I better not wait three months before I post again and the CEO is going to come after me.

Hawks, Spinoffs, Hit Streaks, Lies and WIns

There's no rhyme or reason to what I'm going to be sharing with you here over the next few paragraphs.  It's been a few days since I've visited with you, my rabid fan base (I can still call it a "base" even if it's only one person, right?  Even if that person is me?  Gotcha!), and anyway, I just wanted to share a few articles that I've found, or that have been sent to me.

Hawk1.jpgFirst up is the Fenway Hawk.  It's a front page news story over on the Boston Globe website, so most of you are probably aware, but the Hawks who call Fenway home during the off-season are sick and tired of you meddling humans.  In the second attack in two days, Mr. Razor-claws attempted to gouge the eyeballs out of a 13-year old girl.  Luckily he missed, although he did gash open her scalp, causing her to go to the hospital.

"The girl is fine," said Red Sox spokeswoman Susan Goodenow, who said the team followed up with the girl’s group from Memorial Boulevard Middle School in Bristol, Conn.

Following the incident, the Hawks (and their nest) have been evicted from Fenway.  And, incase you were wondering, no Hawks were harmed during the eviction, just a 13-year old girl... so I'm sure all you PETA people are relieved.

You can check out a photo gallery on Boston.com here.

Second in the lineup, we have an Office-related article sent over to me from the CEO.   I figured since everybody's favorite mockumentary is finally airing new shows tonight, I'd share this potentially excitingdwight_schrute.jpg news with you:  NBC has "greenlit" (greenlighted?) an Office Spinoff to being airing after next year's Super Bowl.

My first reaction was excitement.  I can't get enough of the Office.  My second reaction was impatience.  I don't want to wait 11 months for this!  The third, and last, reaction was trepidation.   I'm assuming we're going to be getting a show taking place in another Dunder-Mifflin branch, or perhaps one of their competitors.  And I'm also assuming we're going to be losing at least one character to be the main character on the new show.  Taking a quick glance around the Office, there are really only 2 characters who could carry this load:  Dwight and Jim.  I love Jim, but he only works in short, sophomoric spurts or in a Pam-centric storyline.  Dwight is the most likely candidate to get his own show, but honestly, I think we get the exact right amount of Dwight exposure in the current version of the Office.  I could see him getting his own "Office", but I could also see it growing tiresome very quickly.  I trust the makers of the show, so I hope they know what they're doing.  I also know that NBC is a failing station, and they'd most likely break up the perfect nucleus of the Office for a chance of some higher ratings.... so, we'll keep you updated as more of the story develops.  And if anyone out there knows more then me, please email us and fill up my glaring holes of ignorance.

UPDATE:  There's no new Office episode this week... it's next week.  Boy, am I an uninformed ass, or what?

Third on the list is the "Beat The Streak" semi-fantasy game over on MLB.com.  This is a heavily advertised game, so I won't dwell on it too long.  Basically, each day of the season you choose one Major League Batter who you think will get at least one hit that day.  The goal is to guess correctly every day until you surpass Joe DiMaggio's record hitting streak of 56 games.  The prize for beating the streak is 1 million dollars.  It's a fun game, but it's pretty difficult.  So far this year both Jose Reyes and Magglio Ordonez killed my streaks... so, go check it out, sign up, and who knows... you could win yourself a bunch of cash.

Last in the rundown is the T-Shirt Gate.  Hopefully you're all aware of the shenanigans that went down a benny.jpgfew nights ago when the Celtics put down the Bulls... again.  Showing a complete lack of class, the Bulls mascot "Benny The Bull" (during a timeout) used one of those t-shirt guns (one of the things that killed Mrs. Flanders on the Simpsons) and fired a couple shirts into the backs of both James Posey and Kevin Garnett.  You can read the whole story here.

Anyway, the Bulls organization are now changing the facts.  In true Revisionist form, the Bulls are now saying that their mascot didn't fire the shots at all.  That, well, I'll let them explain it...

“When the IncrediBull member tripped, the shirts were accidentally launched in the direction of the Celtics, but they did hit the floor first according to what we saw. When it took place we did take steps to apologize to the Celtics’ bench and the referees during the timeout and let them know what happened during that same timeout," said Bulls spokesman Tim Hallam.

In the words of Conan O'Brien, "You can't make this stuff up... and why would you want to?"

Lastly, congratulations to the Celtics on a 60-win season!!!  Now the only number that matters is 17.  Let's make it happen!

It never fails.  Whenever a Boston athlete leaves town and has some shred of success in another city, you always hear people drop the famous line...why can't we get players like that?  Personally, I'm not a big fan of that saying because more often than not I'm glad the player is gone.

How come there isn't more appreciation shown to our local management when they let a player leave and the player goes on to be a mere shadow of their former selves?

Well today we should all be thankful for another easy, yet important local management decision.  See Exhibit A pictured below.  That's right friends, your favorite closer Eric Gagne made his Milwaukee Brewers debut by serving up a three-run shot in the bottom of the 9th to the Chicago Cubs new Japanese sensation Kosuke Fukodome, blowing a 3-0 Brewers lead.  Milwaukee did end up pulling out the 4-3 victory in 10 innings, but it's times like this when I say to myself...I'm glad we don't have that a**hole anymore!

- I think it was nice to have Mike Lowell on the team but, if the reports are correct I expect Lowell to be in pinstripes next year. That is just too much money to pass up.

- I think if I am Josh Beckett, I would rather have the World Series title than the Cy Young Award

tipthescale.jpg

- I think Tito Francona got screwed out of the AL Manager of the Year award.

- I think I hate bye weeks in the NFL. It stunk not having the Patriots game to look forward to over the weekend.

homersleep.jpg- Three night games in row for the Pats is also a little crazy. I can't stay up that late three weeks in a row. No way.

- I think I am actually interested in the Celtics for a first time in a while. They are exciting to watch right now and I am really enjoying watching them play.

- I think the C's do have to be cautious of the amount of minutes the Big 3 are playing right now. These guys are a little up there in age and I don't want them tired down the stretch.

- I think the amount of energy Kevin Garnett plays with is amazing. This guys just does not stop no matter what the situation is.

- I think the Colts have some serious issues to worry about. But I still would not count them out come January.

BarryBondstoon.jpg- I think all of the Barry Bonds talk that we are going to be hearing over the next few weeks is going to drive me crazy.

- I think college football is an absolute mess this year. It looks like no one wants to win the National Championship or the Heisman this year.

- My vote for National Champ is LSU with the Heisman going to Tim Tebow. That guy is just amazing. He has over 40 touchdowns this year already.

- I can't believe some radio stations are already playing Christmas music. What ever happened to celebrating Thanksgiving first?

- I still think the Yankees need some pitching.

- I think having the Red Sox start the season in Japan is stupid and a big waste of time. I hope it doesn't effect the players too much.

- I think I am sick of this weather already. Winter is going to stink.

- I think coming back to work after being out on vacation for nearly two weeks stinks.

- I think if anyone tells you they expected JD Drew to hit a Grand Slam in Game 6 that are full of crap.

- I think what the Pats are doing right now is unbelievable.

- I really hope the Pats go 16-0 because I am so sick and tired of the 72 Dolphins and their annoying champ_toast_with_champagne.jpgchampagne celebration.

- With that said, I still don't think they pull it off.

- I think both of my fantasy football teams stink this year. What a bad time to have Steven Jackson on both of my teams.

- While on vacation, I make a couple of pro football bets and won both of them. I think it is time to give the old bookie a call again. AH, maybe not.

- I think the Celtics are going to be fun to watch this year. Let's just hope they stay healthy and Doc doesn't screw it up too bad.

- I think it is nice to see Boston College #2 in the BCS but there is no way they stay there by the end of the mr.jpgyear. They are a good team but if they were in the SEC they would be getting crushed most weeks.

- I think the BC dream ends this week at Virginia Tech.

- I don't think I am very impressed with any of the new shows on TV. Maybe I am missing something but nothing is jumping out at me.

- I think Jonathon Papelbon has some mental issues and I like it. I sure am glad he is on my team.

- I think it is funny to watch what is going on in New York with the Yankees.

- I think it is a bad time to be a fan of any NY team. The Yankees lost again, the Mets collapsed, the Jets stink, the Giants are OK but Coughlin is still their coach and the Knicks are a joke.

- I think the Rockies are going to be tough to beat. They have a nice line-up and Matt Holliday is a stud.

- I think the Sox win in 6.

- Brady to Moss is almost un fair.

- I think it is a fun time to be a Boston sports fan.

- I think it is has been a while since I posted and the CEO is about ready to run me over. Literally.

- I think the Sox need to get some clutch hitting from someone.

- I still think the Sox win the division but they are certainly starting to worry me. They especially worry me in the playoffs as it seems like they beat up on the weak but struggle against the good teams.

vickschewtoy2.jpg- I think I am so sick and tired about hearing about Michael Vick. I wish he would just hurry up and go to jail. And if you don't think he will be back in the NFL in two years you are crazy. Leonard Little, from the Rams, killed a lady while drinking and driving and he is still in the league, so there is no way Vick gets a lifetime ban.

- I think Brady's favorite target this year will be Wes Welker.

- I can't believe the summer is almost over. One more weekend.

- The good thing is we have the Sox and Pats to look forward to.

- I think it is the Bears and Pats in the SuperBowl this year, which is what it should of been last year.

- I am almost as sick about hearing about Brady's kid as I am hearing about Vick.

- I am not sure if there are any college football fans around Boston but if there are I strongly recommend pickup up the book, "Dixieland Delight" by Clay Travis. Think of it as a sort of Bill Simmons take on the SEC. Being a fan of Tennessee I find it interesting. People up north just don't realize how crazy people are about their college football in the South.

- I think the CEO and I should win our Fantasy Football league with both Frank Gore and Steven Jackson onFrankGore091706_70624.jpg our team.

- I think the wife might divorce me this year after all of time the CEO and I spend on our fantasy team.

- I think I am still waiting for JD Drew to get a big hit this year.

- I really think the Celtics are going to be fun to watch this year.

- I don't think the C's make it to the NBA finals.

- I think between posting these thoughts today and keeping an eye on the Sox score, there is a good chance I might get fired today. I hope the CEO is going to put me on full time.

Roger_Clemens_Grimace_Face.jpg- I thought I was going to die last night when Clemens took that no-hitter into the 6th inning last night. Can you imagine what that would of done to Red Sox nation.

- I think the one good thing about summer being almost over is that there will something to actually watch on TV. Right now there is crap. Last night I had to watch "Hogan hogan4.jpgKnows Best" and "Scott Baio is 45 and single".

- For any of you who read something other than sports books, check out Vince Flynn. Great author who writes about the CIA and terrorists. Good stuff. So yes I do read something other than sports books.

- I think that USC wins the National Championship this year and John David Booty wins the Heisman.

- I think I need to turn the internet off as the Sox are losing again and I am about to hurt someone or something.

- I think it is time for the holiday weekend. Enjoy and we will talk to soon!!!!

- I think it is Friday, it is hot and I wish I was not at work right now

- Is it time to go home yet?

- I think the Sox got a steal in getting Gagne. Gabbard pitched well lately but I will be shocked if he turns out toGAGNE2.jpg be anything but a fourth or fifth starter in Texas. As for Murhpy, he was never going to make the Sox as an everyday player, so why not ship him out.

- I think it would be crazy if the Sox didn't at least think about keeping Gagne and making Papelbon a starter next year. I don't know if they will do it, but they have to at least consider it don't they?

- I was shocked the Sox could not get rid of Wily Mo. I thought someone would of given the Sox a dozen baseballs or something for him.

- Training camp is in full session, which is great. The Pats will be fun to watch this year.

- I think, no, make that I know, that I am so sick and tired of hearing about Michael Vick, Barry Bonds, and Tim Donagy. Is it possible for ESPN to show something else besides those three things? It is killing me.

- I think it is crazy the amount of people who are reading Harry Potter. I take the train to work and it seems like everyone is reading it. Everywhere you go someone is reading Harry Potter. I read the first few books, but I think I might need to start reading them again. I don't want to ruin the review of the book, but I am hearing nothing but great things about it.

- I think my wife barely paid attention to our kids last week because she was so busy reading Harry Potter (just kidding honey, sort of).

- Tonight is the draft for one of my fantasy football leagues. This is just a small league with some of my neighbors. Nothing like the one the CEO and I are in together. That draft is later this month and there is no reason the Chicken Lovers should not win the title this year. We won it back it 2004 and we are looking to do it again.

- I think I really enjoy Fantasy Football. I know it is geeky but I don't care. Gives me something to do. I love draft nights. I am looking forward to pulling some strong sleepers out of nowhere.

steven-jackson-1.jpg- In tonight's draft I have the second pick. I think I need to take Steven Jackson, don't I?

- I just finished reading another interesting golf book, "The Scorecard Always Lies" by Chris Lewis. Good behind the scenes stuff about the tour in 2006.

- I am currently reading "Opening Day" by Jonathan Eig. It is about Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in baseball. So far it tells about some pretty amazing stuff that Robinson had to go through. I am only about a third of the way through right now. Once I finish I will let everyone know my thoughtz.

- I think I am still in shock that the C's were able to get Garnett. I didn't like to get rid of Big Al, but you had to do it. None of the other guys and the future draft picks were going to do anything. The C's will be at least relevant and entertaining again. I would certainly love to be there on opening night. Should be fun.

- I think with all of the players the C's had to give up that I might have a shot at making the team this year. I thought I saw Danny scouting me over the winter at my Men's Over 30 league at Abington High School. He even dressed up like a janitor to disguise himself but I am pretty sure it was him. If it was then I know he had to come away impressed with my skills. I was dominating guys almost twice my age.

- How happy do you think the Yankees are now having to pay Clemens a million dollars a start and he can't even get out of the second inning?

- I think I am addicted to Solitaire right now. Can you tell it is a Friday afternoon?

- I wish A-Rod would hurry up and hit #500. I am not ashamed to admit he is on my HR team. I am currently barely holding on to third place and need him to start jacking some out.

- I think it is hard to believe that Tom Brady is not the bread winner in the family as Gisele made nearly double him last year. Imagine. She is smoking hot and makes over 30 million a year. Now that is a quite a catch.

- How is that David Beckham signing working out for MLS? He comes over and it injured already.

- How is MLS going to make it if they bring in one star in (Beckham) and let one leave (Feddy Adu has signed to play in Portugal)?

- SportsCenter showed some highlights from the X-Games yesterday and those guys are crazy. One guy fell like 50 feet straight down on to the ramp after he lost his skate board it mid air. The video is frightening.

- I think I have a lot of thoughtz today. Either that or I don't want to do any work.

- I think Brady Quinn should get is ass to camp. He wants to be paid like a top ten pick, but guess what genius, you weren't a top ten pick. You were selected 22nd and should get paid like the 22nd pick. End of story.

- I think Rajon Rondo should certainly average over ten assists a game this year for the Celts. With those rajon_rondo.jpgthree guys all you have to do is give them the ball and get out of the way.

- I think if anyone complains about the heat, they should remember what is was like out in January and February.

- I still can't believe CBS took "Pirate Masters" off of the air. I mean the show sucked, but still it is the summer what else are they going to show. I wanted to know who won.

- I think I am leaving work early today. No one is going to notice.

- I think the return of Jon Lester last night was great. What a comeback.

- I think Michael Vick is in a lot or trouble. What an idiot. The guy just through away millions of dollars to watchvick1.jpg dog fighting. That was a good move. STUPID

- I think it is nice to see Manny hitting well again. The offense looks good right now even without Papi. I mean even Coco and Lugo are hitting right now.

- I hear all of these Mark Texiera rumors and I just don't get it. Who are you going to sit? Youk? Lowell? I think the Sox have bigger issues right now.

- I think I can't wait for the beginning of training camp. Football is almost here. It is a wonderful thing.

- It also means that Fantasy Football is almost here. I can't wait for draft day.

- Do you want to know "Who is NOT Now"? How about ESPN? Sportscenter is tough to watch these days. And what is with the toolbar on the right side of the screen on the AM edition? It just makes the screen that much smaller to see. I don't get it.

- What thing I do like is ESPN radio. If you haven't already check out Mike and Mike on ESPN 890 AM. Good stuff, no annoying callers, and lots of good top notch guests each week. Check it out.

espn890.jpg

- The Mike Felger show in the afternoon is good too. It is funny and the hosts don't just hell at each other like on WEEI.

- I just found out that CBS cancelled "Pirate Masters". I am totally bummed. Don't get me wrong. The show was terrible but I was hooked. There is nothing else to watch during the summer.

- Check out my list of "Must Read SportZ Books" on the left side of the site. If anyone has any suggestions please forward them along. I am also looking for something to read to pass the time on the train.

- This whole referee scandal in the NBA is crazy. The NBA couldn't get people to watch last year. Do you really think people are going to watch now if they think it is fixed. Can you just see it now? Every time a call goes against the C's, Heinsohn is going to think the game is fixed.

- I wish Barry Bonds would just hurry up and get the HR's he needs to break the record. I am so sick and tired about hearing about him. Just go away.

- What a bad month for sports! Vick, the NBA ref, and the Bonds steroid issue. Maybe the NHL is looking better and better? Ay maybe not.

- I think I wish I had as much vacation time as the CEO has. As once again he took a few days off to visit Boston. What is it with him? Boston is nice but do you really need to go there every week and leave the Cape? Come on. Get back to work.

- Speaking of work, I should probably get back it to it too as the CEO is not paying my bills (yet?).

- I think I enjoy the summer a lot more than the winter.

- I think the CEO needs to get back in the office and stop "vacationing" in Boston for days on end.

- I think you have to like the way the Sox played in the first half of the season.

- These three days are the worst in sports. There in nothing on. I mean the HR Derby is a joke. How many times can you listen to Chris Berman yell out BACK, BACK, BACK, BACK GONE? And I don't care at all about the All-Star game. That is a joke as well.

- The whole "Who is Now" crap on ESPN is annoying. Why can't SportsCenter just show the highlights of the games anymore? It is like trying to find music videos on MTV. You just can't find them.bozo.jpg

-  I think the MVP of the first half for the Sox is Mike Lowell. With Manny and Papi having down years power wise and Drew doing basically nothing, it has been Lowell who has picked up the slack and driven in all of the runs.

- Any NBA fans out there should read "Can I Keep my Jersey" by Paul Shirley. Very funny book about a guys struggle to play professional basketball. Shirley doesn't take himself to serious and basically doesn't like basketball players. If you like Bill Simmons style of writing you will really enjoy this book. It was one of the better sports books I have read.

- I don't think there is a question who has been the worst player for the Sox this year, Julio Lugo has been awful. He is the worst hitter in the league. I mean come on. Even his defense is not that good. Big disappointment.

- I think the Celtics settled in the draft. This trade would of been good five years ago. Allen is strictly a jump shooter at this point, who had surgery on both ankles this year. This team might make the playoffs but they are not even close to competing for a championship.

noahdraft.jpg- Joakim Noah looked like Bozo the Clown during the NBA draft. What an idiot.

- I think the best show of the summer is "Hell's Kitchen". Gordon Ramsey is an absolute riot. I love when he yells at everybody and almost makes them cry.

- I think I should get back to work!

- I think I am in day three of being Mr. Mom as my wife is in Florida for a "girls weekend" (don't get me startedmrmom.jpg on this) and so far so good.

- I think with the wife out of town I have be able to watch the Red Sox without any interruptions and it has been nice.

- I think the Red Sox should implement the "Willie Mays Hayes" rule for Coco Crisp. Anytime Crisp pops up he should have to drop down and do 50 pushups. This guy is too fast to not be hitting the ball on the ground everytime.

WillieMaysHayes.jpg- I think the more I see of Tina Cervasio, the better I think she looks. I don't know what it is but she is looking pretty good this year.

- I don't want to jinx it but, I think I saw JD Drew actually collecting a couple of hits for the Sox. They need him to hit. Papi and Manny need some protection in that line-up.

- I think I am really getting worried about Julio Lugo. He can't have your lead-off hitter batting south of .220 and with an OBP in the .270's. The sox need someone on base in front the big hitters.

- I think the Cavs have no shot at beating the Spurs in this series. They are totally over matched. They will be lucky to win a game in my opinion.

- I think I have a morale dilemma facing me tonight. As everyone knows, tonight is the series finale of one of the greatest shows ever "The Sopranos". However, as I mentioned above my wife is in Florida and won't be back until tomorrow. So the questions is, do I watch Sopranos tonight with out my wife or do I wait until tomorrow and watch it with her?? I still haven't decided.

- I think the season finale of the Soprano's is going to be great.

- I think watching Stuart Scott makes my head hurt. He is awful. What has happened to ESPN? A lot of thestu.jpg shows are un-watchable these days.

- I think today's Red Sox game should be interesting, Dice K Vs. Randy Johnson is a nice match up.

- I do think I am not looking forward to watching the Big Unit in Hi-Def. He is the captain of the all ugly team. Seeing him in Hi-Def is going to be scary!!!

- I am scared about what the Celtics are going to do in the draft coming up. It is a make or break decision for Danny.

- I am looking forward to the Sox game on Wednesday as I will be at the game. I am taking a client there for work as that is the only way I can afford to go to the game these days. The best part is that we have the good seats. Third row right behind the visitor's on desk circle. I will let you know about the game later this week.

- I think I better pay some attention to these damn kids!!!!

- I think the CEO needs to get home soon.

- I think the Sox need to start hitting again. There is no way they should be shut by Lenny DiNardo. I mean come on it is Lenny DiNardo for crying out loud.

- I think the Spurs win it in 5. LeBron is amazing and he will be fun to watch but there is no way he can win more than one game in this series. The team around him stinks.

- I think if you watch to watch a funny show try "Pirate Masters" on CBS. It is not meant to be funny but it is so corny you can not help but to laugh.

- I don't think I have ever seen an injury quite like the one Clemens has. What is a fatigued groin? The fact that he missed a start already is just funny.

- I still think Kevin Durant is going to be an amazing player but the fact that you couldn't bench press a 185 pounds is a little concerning. He was the only one who couldn't do it. I might actually be able to do that... ah maybe not. But still he should be able to.

- I think all of these managers getting thrown out of games is a joke. These guys are just trying to get some face time on Youtube.

- I think I should have an interesting weekend as my wife is heading for Florida this weekend for a "Girls Weekend". What a joke.

- I think I can't wait for the NBA Draft in a few weeks. The Celtics have a lot of different ways they can go. I just hope and pray they make the right one.

- I think the CEO is going to crack the whip when he gets back into the office.

- I think this website is not the same with the CEO out of action for a little while.

- Kobe Bryant better make up his mind what he wants to do. Does he want to be traded or doesn't he? I would love to see him be traded but I don't think there is anyway he goes anywhere.

- I would love to see the Sox sweep the three games from the Yankees this weekend and out them out of their misery once and for all.

- A-Rod is something else. Everyday is something new. That was so cheesy that he was out on the streets of Boston holding hands with his wife and there just happen to be cameras around. It was so strange.

- How about the fact that A-Rod is into big muscular girls? A little weird for me.

- Do you think the Sox are ever going to get something out of Drew, Lugo or Crisp this year? Imagine what the Sox could be if these guys hit all.

- The NBA Draft starts with the Hawks at pick three and you know they are going to do something stupid.

- I watched a little of a College World Series Softball game when I was at the gym and I don't get it. All of the pitchers ERA's are around 1.00, the scores look like a soccer final yet, when you look at the Batting Averages they are all over .300. I don't get it but, what the hell do I know?

- I think there is nothing on TV and it stinks. Especially last night when the Sox weren't on. There was nothing to watch.

- I think LeBron is putting on quite a show. What a game last night and remember this guy is only 22. I don't even think I could tie my shoes yet when I was 22.

- Once, the Spurs win the NBA title (and they will win) should they be considered a dynasty???

- I think the CEO better make a quick recovery and get back to work soon. Get well CEO!!!!!!!!!!! WE MISS YOU!!!

- Sad day for the Patriots yesterday. It is still hard to believe. Hill seemed like a good guy. Didn't see him play much as he was inactive a lot but still a sad story.

- The Sox seem to be rolling. Youk has been on fire, the pitching has been good, the Yankees were swept and I think there was even a JD Drew sighting this weekend. All in all a great weekend for Sox fans.

- Nice ovation for Trot Nixon last night. It was well deserved. But with that said it was still time for him to move on. Trot just couldn't seem to stay healthy.

- Nice to see the weather take a turn for the better this weekend. I think it is fair to say the summer is here.

- It stinks that there is nothing on TV right now. All of the good shows are over for the summer and the new summer shows haven't begun yet. Thank Goodness the Sox are winning as they are all that is on TV and it is easier to watch them when they are winning.

- Say what you want about me, but I am still not counting out the Yankees. I know things are bad down in the Bronx right now but until the Yanks are eliminated, I still am going to worry about them.

- I think I am still in denial over the Celtics. I still can't believe it.

- I don't know the name of the guy who one the Indy 500, but I know he is a lucky man. Not only did he win the Indy 500 this week but, more importantly, he is married to Ashley Judd.

- First time at the beach all year and I already got a sun burn. When will I learn?

- I think it is crazy that both ESPN and ESPNEWS carried every pitch of Roger Clemens' third minor league start yesterday. What a joke.

- I think I need to go for a walk now.

- I think it still makes me sick to think about the results of the draft lottery this week. I don't know what they Celtics are going to do but they better do something.

- I think as much as I want them to be, the Yanks are not done yet. It is only May and there is a long way to go.

- I think there is no way that Clemens pitches is Fenway next week. My guess is he pitches for the first time the week after.

- I think Lost was a very good this week. The only thing that stinks is we have to wait until next February to see what happens.

- For any golfers out there, I just finished a really good book (as always, click the title will bring you straight to Amazon). It is by famed sports writer John Feinstein. It is called "Tales from Q School". Really good read. Feinstein has written a lot of great sports books including "A Good Walk Spoiled",  "Next Man Up" and my favorite "Let me Tell you a Story". That was sort of a biography of Red Auerbach and is a must read for any remaining Celtics fans out there.

- Next up on the schedule is going to be "The Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty" by Buster Olney. I am hoping it will be fun to read about the Yankees demise.

- Does anyone have any good summer reading suggestions for me?

- I can't believe Sopranos is almost over for good. What is HBO going to do?

- If you are looking for a good show to watch in the summer check out "Hell's Kitchen". It is a pretty funny gramsay.jpgreality show.

- I think the Celtics need to get lucky is the draft and pick some one who ends up being and All-Star player. I don't know who it will be but, they better be a stud.

- I am starting to worry about JD Drew. He has done nothing so far this year and he needs to turn it on quickly. Lowell and Youk and sort of carrying him right now but the Sox need Drew to produce.

capecod_landsat_wshadow.jpg- I think summer might finally be here, one tell tale sign is the Bostonsportz.com CEO, has moved the office to the Cape branch, so you know summer must be here.

- With the weather getting nicer, I am glad that I work in Boston. The scenery around here can be amazing in the summer.

- I can't believe the NHL Playoffs are still going on. Is anyone watching this?

- I think the Spurs are going to roll to the NBA Championship. I don't see any team remaining being able to beat them.

- I think I need to go grab some lunch.

newkids.jpgI think that I would rather be on plane fighting with some guy than fighting with a 4 year old and a 3 year old on the importance of flushing a toilet and washing hands!

I think that I would love to have that great invention of an ipod, Oh wait I did have one and OMG it actually had Kriss Kross's Jump Jump for me and my BFF Kimmy!

I think that I would love to have hot guys on my plane for Florida straight or gay!

I think it would have been nice on said Mother's day to have gotten an ipod, Oh wait that's right I already had one!

I think if we went to that incredible Sox game my beloved would have had us on a train long long way before cr.jpgsaid comeback!!

I think when I get an ipod it needs more New Kids on the Block, right Kimmy!!

Oh yeah, I have an ipod Right?

I think I need it to be June!!

I think this is better than couple's therapy!

I think this could be a regular blog!

I think the Hero's blog rocks!

I think the Office is the best!

I think I have to make grilled cheese's and drive someone to school!

- I think I am a dedicated writer for Bostonsportz.com, as I am writing this on a plane flying somewhere probably over North Carolina.

- I think the David Ortiz autobiography didn’t take as long as I thought to read. I still have an hour left on my plane.jpgflight and I finished the book already. Between that and forgetting to bring a DVD, I have nothing else to do but write for Bostonsportz.com.

- I think some people just talk way to loud. There are a couple of people in front of me on the plane and they are so loud. It is annoying. To make things worse they are talking some strange language, so all I hear is this loud gibberish.

- Why do some people on a plane put their carry on luggage under the seat and then try and push it over in front of you instead of leaving it in front of them. Me and the guy next to me are practically having a soccer match kicking his bag back and forth. Me and this guy are going to have issues. I can just feel it.

- What is the protocol with the arm rest on planes? Since the guy next to me was here first and put it up, does that mean it has to stay that way for the entire flight? I don’t know but, I do know that I wouldn’t mind putting down right now as it would be easier to type, but I am scared and don’t want to piss off this guy if you catch what I mean.

- Whatever happened to serving you food on a plane? Nowadays you are lucky to get water and some crackers. It is like we are all prisoners, which I guess we are as we are stuck here with nothing else to do.

- I hope this guy next to me is not reading this as I could be in trouble when I get off the plane. I better watch out.

- What did people do before the IPod? It is such a great invention.

- What are the odds that there is only 1 kid on the flight and they are sitting right in front of me with the loud talkers. Maybe if these people shut up the kid could get some sleep.

- Isn’t flying just great? And lucky for me, I have to put up with all of this crap to go to the wonderful city of Montgomery, Alabama. If you are thinking of planning your next family vacation, don’t forget to look into coming to Montgomery. There is just so much to do down here.

- I think the Sox just have that feeling that this year is going to be something special. That was a hell of a game yesterday. Of course, I had tickets to yesterday’s game but, since it was Mother’s Day I couldn’t go. That is great because who would want to see a great come back like that anyways??

- May 22nd is still only a week away. TICK TICK TICK……

- I think Roger Clemens will be a good 5-6 inning pitcher, but that is it. The Yankees bullpen is still going to have to pitch a lot of innings.

- What do you think ever happened to Kris Kross? Do you think the guy next to me wants to share my IPod, so he can JUMP JUMP with me?

- I guess he doesn’t as he just gave me another evil look. I was just trying to be nice. Who doesn’t want to listen to a little Kris Kross now and then? I know I do. JUMP JUMP.

- I think I am going crazy and that this planes needs to land soon.

- I think it is only May and I am out of the HR pool already. Mike Piazza was a good pick, so was Bobby Abreu. I stink.

- Speaking of stinking, I think the guy next to me does. Why does he keep looking over at me?

- Say what you want about Bruce Bowen but I wish the Celtics had defensive players like him. Oh yeah we did and we let him go. Another great decision made by little Ricky Pitino.

- You will never guess what just come on my IPod? Pop Goes the Weasel by Third Base. POP POP Goes ipod-nano-1gb-review.jpgthe Weasel the Weasel. See there were White Rappers before Eminem. What a classic tune. I am bobbing my head right now. POP POP!!

- The guy shot me another look. I better be careful. I don’t think he likes me. Do you think 3rd Base was popular in his country? Probably not. Too bad, his loss.

- I think I am a little worried about Josh Beckett’s finger issue.

- I think the NBA Playoffs have been fairly interesting. I wish Boston had a NBA team.

- I think this has been the one of the longest flights, I have ever been on and it is only a little over 2 hour flight to Atlanta.

- I wish I had time in Atlanta to catch one of Mike Vick’s dog fights. You know that has to be a good time by all.

- I think I can’t tell if Fergie is hot or not. And yes London Bridges is blasting from the IPod. I am not going to even bother the guy next to me to see if he wants to take a listen. Screw him. I tried to be nice but, I guess he is not feeling it. His loss.

- Good news, the baby in front of me is crying. Yippee. Do you think the guy next to me will just shoot my now and put me out of my misery?

- Where can you go from listening to Fergie to singing along with James Taylor, just like that? Did I mention I love this IPod invention? It is the only saving my sanity right now.

- What’s up with girls an
