B's down 2 but returning to the Hub
It's nailbiting time any time the Bruins play the Canadiens; but now even more so! After two games in
Montreal, the B's are down 2 in the first round. Last night's was heartbreaking. I thought we were going to do it--until a few undisciplined penalties and 1 iffy one were smattered through the third period into OT. The B's played hard. They fought all night to stay in it. After a sloppy second period the team seemed to be rejuvinated and went for the win. The penalty killing stood up to the test through the Reich (holding), Metropolit (tripping), Thornton (High sticking/drawing blood double minor) penalties. It was at 2:30 of OT while Reich was in the box for tripping, that the Habs snuck it behind Thomas. A shot by Kovalev got past Thomas. We can't fault Thomas, he was able to stop 28 of the 31 shots he faced and kept the B's it.
It doesn't end tonight if they lose, but it'll be awfully tough to come back from a 3-0 deficit. They're back at home with the home town fans and that should lift them up. They just have to remember to play a disciplined, well rounded 60 minute hockey game --no slacking or falling back on their heels.
B's Heading for the Playoffs!
Hey B's Fans!
Happy times in the Hub: The Bruins are heading to the playoffs for the first time since 2004! Yes, the Black and Gold will be mixing it up with the Habs in first round play, but there's always hope. Let's not think of the 0-8 record they hold vs. Montreal this season. Look forward to the playoffs. It's like a whole new season. Just bask in the glory until Wednesday when round 1 begins!!

Who Can It Be Now?
BOSTON -- The U.S. Attorney's office here said Wednesday that a St. Louis company admitted distributing human growth hormone to athletes and entertainers, and agreed to pay a $10.5 million fine and to cooperate with investigators.
The company, Specialty Distribution Systems Inc. (a subsidiary of Express Scripts), said in a news release that it "does not condone the use of human growth hormone for anti-aging, cosmetic or performance-enhancement purposes."
The U.S. Attorney's office disagrees, saying that Specialty supplied HGH for a "well-known" athlete in Massachusetts and an "entertainer/athlete" who received a shipment was 6-foot-5, 276 pounds, according to the New York Daily News.
No one from Specialty is expected to be charged as long as they cooperate with prosecutors. The admission, however, figures to pique the interest of officials in the NFL, nab and Major League Baseball, who have been trying to establish if any of their athletes have been involved in this case, or another in Albany, which has resulted in 22 indictments.
Who could these two people be?
Bruins Finally Name New Coach
Even though I'm not A Bruins fan, I thought that this is big newz for hockey fans.
Claude Julien was hired as coach of the Bruins on Thursday, less than a week after Boston fired Dave Lewis and two months after Julien was dismissed by the New Jersey Devils.
