Tippett is the fifth linebacker on the NFL’s All Decade Team of the 80’s to be enshrined into the NFL Hall of Fame, joining Lawrence Taylor, Jack Lambert, Ted Hendricks and Mike Singletary.
He was inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame in November 1999 and currently works for the team as the Patriots Executive Director of Community Affairs. He joins John Hannah as the only Patriots currently in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
