Bostonian Of The Week:MVP
Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 01:52PM
Scott (CEO) Each week we'll pick a Bostonian who has made news (good or bad) during the week.Illustrator Mike Briggs will provide a caricature of the week's winner or loser.
Dustin Pedroia is our Bostonian of the Week.
This year has been the year of ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Kevin Garnet was the first to point this out to us. We were reminded of KG when, just a few weeks ago, America elected its first African American President. We again were reminded on Monday when MLB announced its American League MVP was 5'7" 180lbs Dustin Pedroia.
The little man with the big swing already has had a great career. He has a Gold Glove, a World Series ring, a MVP trophy, and a Rookie of the Year Award,,,, and he got that only last year. The sky is the limit with this kid, and considering his height, he has a long way to go.
Congratulations Dustin! You truly deserved it. You make the underdogs everywhere proud, and remind us all that anything is possible.
