Celtics Christmas Giveaway!!

BostonXmasTree.JPGWe at BostonsportZ couldn't be more excited with the Boston Celtics this year.  They currently stand at 20-2, and have been dismantling opponents like Bill Belichick was sitting on their bench instead of Doc Rivers.  As a Christmas gift, our CEO, Scott, has decided to give one of our dear readers a pair of Celtics tickets for the Friday, January 4th game vs. Memphis [Section 310 row 14] -- plus some secondary prizes, because we don't want too many people to go home unhappy.

This is the Celtics we're talking about though, the hardest working team in the league, so we're not just going to give these tickets away.  You're going to have to earn them.

These are the games involved:

Wed 19  vs Detroit  7:00pm

 Fri 21  vs Chicago  7:00pm
 Sun 23  vs Orlando  6:30pm
 Wed 26  @ Sacramento   10:00pm
 Thu 27  @ Seattle   10:30pm

Here's what you need to do:

Create an username and then before each game you need to login and post a comment on that day's pre-game post (starting with this one for thebig%203.jpg Pistons game).  What we need in your post is this:

For each game we have designated one Celtics starter.  You will have to guess what their basic stat line will be:  points, rebounds and assists.  Add each of those numbers up to create a total.  So if you think Garnett will score 15 points, grab 10 rebounds and dish out 5 assists, your total for Garnett = 30.

Whoever is closer to the actual stat total of that player will earn 'x' number of points.  The person with the most accumulated points after the 5 games wins.  The players and points break down like this:

In game 1--total points, rebounds and assists for Kendrick Perkins. Worth 2 pts
In game 2--total points, rebounds and assists for Rajon Rando. Worth 4 pts
In game 3--total points, rebounds and assists for Ray Allen. Worth 6 pts
In game 4--total points, rebounds and assists for Paul Pierce. Worth 12 pts
In game 5--total points, rebounds and assists for Kevin Garnett. Worth 24 pts
Tie- Breaker-total points, rebounds and assists for all 5 players in the game on 27th.
2nd-Tie-Breaker total points by the Celtics on the 27th

celtics_santa.jpgI told you we'd have some secondary prizes, and I didn't lie.  For each game, that day's winner will receive a free BostonsportZ t-shirt - tiebreakers will be determined by guessing the Celtics final score for that day's game.

So, to recap, each game over the next five, we've chosen one Celtics starter.  You will need to post what you think the total of the stat line will be for that chosen player.  You should also post your guess for the total points Boston will score that night.

Obviously, visiting each day is going to give you your best chance to win -- and yes, we're only accepting 1 post per user per game -- if you try to sneak extra posts in there, Celtics Santa here is going to come down your chimney and kick your ass.  Trust me, you don't want that.  Look at those pipes!

Happy Guessing, Happy Holidays and GO CELTICS!
